Poem: Stare

Stare

dawn circles onyx,

twin pools brimmed

by ancestors yanked back up

on ladders of lightning.

the fallen to rejoice,

cradled rapturous,

darkness now heaven sent:

a veil, rampant in its

relevations of justice,

blithe to uncurtain

the fallacy of death.
