 Instant US Karma

It’s as if God gave Joe Biden, the last President, a chance to save America in 2024.  God said to Biden, “America can still be great.  All you need to do, to save your country from a despicable fate, is to refuse to supply weapons for the genocide and ethnic cleansing taking place in Gaza.  However,  if you do participate in the genocide, America will suffer a vast and rapid decline, branded by an epitaph of eternal shame and the ignominy of malevolence.”

If Joe Biden heard God, he decided to ignore Them.  Biden cast off the principles of the Good.  Biden exiled his own conscience, if he has one.  Instead, he decided to  supply weapons to Israel so that the IDF could kill the Gazans and utterly destroy the landscape, reducing it to infertile rubble.

Today, the Gazans--having lost their homes and their communities, having been turned into wandering, herded refugees in their own homeland, which is now a place of tank- and rocket-blasted remnants--are slowly starving to death.  Israel, under its Prime Minister Netanyahu, has cut off the ability to bring them food:

It is the hunger that will kill me – a slow death,” said Hikmat al-Masri, a 44-year-old university lecturer from Beit Lahia in north Gaza …

An estimated 420,000 people are on the move again because of new Israeli evacuation orders, making it difficult to compile hard data on hunger and malnutrition, but Oxfam estimates that most children are now surviving on less than one meal a day.

What an inconceivable irony that Israel, a Jewish nation, is in process of inflicting a genocide on the Gazans, when the Jews themselves suffered the Holocaust.  All my life, until Biden’s decision, I'd been schooled and cultured in the importance of “Never Again.”  Anne Frank.  Elie Weisel.  Victor Frankl.  Never should any people be targeted for mass extermination.  Never should slow, grisly torture be inflicted on anyone, let alone en masse.  

I have watched at least several movies, fiction and documentary, where pilgrimages were made to Auschwitz and Birkenau.  The reaction of the people in the film was always utter horror, shock and revulsion. “How could this happen?”

Well, it is happening right now in Gaza.  And the ‘liberal’ Joe Biden made the USA a willing villain.  As well, the USA media is a villain, for it is ignoring what is happening.

If God spoke to Biden, God was true to Their word.  America is now suffering a vast and rapid decline under its new fascist dictator, Donald Trump.  America’s two-hundred-and-forty year old experiment in democracy, its status as a republic, is over.  The legacy of the Stars and Stripes smashed and desecrated.  Trump is all-in on supporting the genocide in Gaza.  He has no concern for human rights and seeks to establish a totalitarian dictatorship based on fear, something the USA is quickly becoming.

The USA media likes to frame the situation as a bifurcation:  you can be either “Pro-Israel” or “Pro-Palestine.”  This is a completely wrongheaded, specious and fallacious divide. The true choice is this:  one can be either pro-genocide or anti-genocide.

Since October 2024, I have had to watch a parade of specious lies from my country’s media and politicians.  Lies that gaslight the horror and depravity taking place in Gaza, while claiming to champion the good and just. 

I have learned something about the greatest levels of evil.  Such evil, the most irredeemable and cruel, always claims to be good.  It never owns up to what it is, even when it must surely know.  In Disney movies, the evil antagonists revel in their darkness.  They proclaim it.  Not so in real life.  Fascist dictators, like Trump and Netanyahu, and other evil leaders like Biden, cloak themselves in proclamations of righteousness and justice.  Trump, for instance, has been diagnosed as a narcissistic psychopath.  His brutal sadism is obvious.  But he sees himself as a great messiah, similar to how Hitler saw himself.

The karma of humanity has become very dark.  Self-serving kings with no compunction have risen up.  Trump in America, Xi in China, Modi in India, Putin in Russia, Kim Jon Un in North Korea, and many more.  It is likely humanity will destroy itself in a World War III.  What makes this infinitely sad is that we had a choice.  It was not fated that immature, insecure and monstrous men would lead us into darkness.

Joe Biden, a supposed champion of liberal democracy, is a prime example.
