Poem: Peacemaker

 

Peacemaker

 

six eyes turning,

wrath of fate,

staccato of gyre,

turning, turning,

 

that barking iron,

blue-bellied of steel, 

tongue of sulphur,

snarl of muzzle,

 

and the fangs shoot forth

to bite reap thresh gush,

a knee a throat a heart a breast,

spillage, a pillage of blood.
