The denizens of the future will look back at Homo sapiens with great curiosity and scholarly fascination, wondering what it was like to be born wild in Nature, and then to destroy Nature through an overwhelming greed manifested in technology. Most of all, they will ponder the role of the human being as a pivotal link in the ongoing chain of sentience--a creature that started off as purely animal and then, after tens of thousands of years, rebuilt itself into cyborg, thus eliminating the species.
